TRUE LOVE

“I have everlasting affection for you”, he said.

Can this be true?

I’ve had series of experiences with people that have made me feel like love never existed.

The statement "I Love You" is not real.

It's fake!

Until I met someone who proved me wrong.

This man made his promises known to me and kept every one of them.

He expressed his feelings in action and meant each of his words.

My heart quivered when I remembered the thoughts of my last ‘breakfast’, but I wonder how he comforts me and makes my heart melt.

Why won’t my heart melt when his words of assurance are new every morning?

He says, "You don't need to run; I am here," when I’ve broken my part of our promise.

"I love you" when I’ve betrayed the love he has for me.

The thought of this man made me wonder if he is a gentleman or an angel sent from above to compensate for the series of heartbreaks and bad relationships I’ve encountered.

Who is this man?

Who is this man who doesn't mind my betrayals, flaws, mistakes, and lies?

Who is this man who finds pride in this broken glass?

Who is this man who professes his love for me as if I have no past?

Who is this man who sees and knows my flaws but still wants me to represent him to the world?

It is the Almighty God! The one who created the heaven and the earth.

The one who;

Was, is, and is to come.

Dedicated His son to die for my sins,

Gave me access to all that is His,

Including His authority,

Doesn’t count my wrongs or condemn me.

After all the flaws and mistakes I’ve made,

There's someone who accepts me regardless of my past.

That still sees me as whole and without blemish.

He makes commitments and promises like nothing has ever happened because He sees me as His.

Does True Love Still Exist?

Yes! It does. 

This Love is in Christ.
